Volunteer Opportunities
CPSH currently has five teams that are working together to realize the
mission of this organization. All the team members are volunteer.
Whatever time you can give, we need you to continue making progress.
More volunteers means more progress. We are looking for volunteers that
have these skills, interests, and profession/social networks that will
contribute to meeting the purpose of each team. If you would like to

Brandraising Team - The purpose of this team is to create
awareness of the CPSH nonprofit charity and its mission in the North
Texas Community. The Community includes but is not limited to,
Corporations, Businesses, Foundations, families, and service providers.

Services Team - The purposes of this team are to capture best
practices of services that are provided by providers and that are
beneficial to people living with intellectual and developmental
disabilities in a variety of living situations, and create a
checklist(s) for evaluation of service providers. To contact the Services Team, go

Laws, Acts, and Regulations Team - The purpose of this team is to
identify and address in a collaborative manner the Federal, State,
County, City and Neighborhood laws, acts, and regulations that relate to
housing planning, building, and zoning for people living with
intellectual and developmental disabilities. The team will inventory
these laws, acts, and regulations. Those laws, acts, and regulations
that hinder freedom of housing choice (ex: over regulated), the team
will request information on the history of these statutes and present
alternative approaches. CPSH may advocate for change. CPSH is not a

Acquire Assets Team - The purposes of this team are to acquire
funding and property for the purposes of renovating or buildings to
provide housing options for people living with intellectual and
developmental disabilities providing operating funds to keep CPSH

Collaborations Team - The purpose of this team is to identify teams
of organizations that are committed to creating housing options for
adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. (Organizations
include but are not limited to businesses, corporations, funding
providers, service providers, and government entities, and families.)
