Changes in Medicaid Transportation Services

With the implementation of Community First Choice (CFC) on June 1, 2015, transportation as an activity of habilitation continued to be available to participants in Home and Community-based Services (HCS); Texas Home Living (TxHmL); Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS); and Deaf Blind with Multiple Disabilities (DBMD)

On September 1, 2015, the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) issued Information Letter (IL) 15-52 announcing changes to the billing for transportation and added transportation to the service plan for HCS, TxHmL, DBMD and CLASS.

Those changes take effect on November 1, 2015 for HCS and TxHmL and on December 1 for CLASS and DBMD. IL 15-52 can be accessed here.
